Cell Lead- Composites
Division:Unical 145
  
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Cell Lead reports to the Production Manager and shall be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and overhaul activities performed on articles at Unical Arizona 145.

Essential Functions:

  • Ensure that personnel is appropriately trained to meet the requirement of the Authorities (FAA, EASA, etc.) and customers.
  • Ensure that shop equipment and tooling are maintained in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.
  • Ensure safe practices in accordance with environmental health and safety, as well as company practices.
  • Conduct periodic meetings with staff on issues affecting operations as well as communicate the company’s policies and relevant information to staff.
  • Train and supervise staff on paperwork and practices.
  • Carry out a random review of articles in progress to ensure compliance with regulatory and customer requirements and repair station procedures.
  • Conduct daily operation status reviews and prioritize work activities to optimize operational efficiency as well as meet customer requirements.
  • Interface with Quality Department to ensure all work is performed in accordance with current technical data and Federal Regulations.
  • Coordinate with Quality Department to ensure that all Inspection, Measuring, and Testing Equipment (IMTE) are calibrated.
  • Review reported deficiencies and implement corrective actions as necessary to prevent reoccurrence.
  • Coordinate new capability development.
  • Perform receiving and in process inspections of components as required.
  • Perform maintenance on components, including inspection, test, repair, overhaul, and alteration as required.
  • Any other duties as assigned.
  • The Maintenance Manager meets the requirements of Part 65 and is duly certificated as a repairman of Unical Arizona 145 or A&P Licensed.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • A&P License or qualified to be issued a Repairman’s Certificate as defined in 14 CFR Part 65.
  • Aircraft maintenance or aircraft component maintenance management experience.
  • Minimum 5+ years of composite maintenance experience.
  • Minimum 5+ years of management and/or supervisory experience in the aviation industry
  • In-depth knowledge of commercial and FAA technical publications.
  • Strong knowledge of Federal Regulations.
  • Valid State Identification.
  • General knowledge of business management and finance.
  • Ability to understand and interpret procedural and standard operational manuals.
  • Familiar with basic safety procedures as they relate to aircraft or component maintenance.
  • Written and verbal ability to communicate with all levels of employees.
  • Ability to work with others as part of a team to achieve established goals.
  • Must be able to pass DOT Drug & Alcohol screening.
  • Must be a U.S. Person or Permanent Green Card holder due to ITAR regulations.

Physical Demands: Ability to lift 50 lbs.


Working Conditions:

Ability to work in machine shop/component repair environment.

Momentary exposure to high noises.

Exposure to chemicals and cleaning agents.

Personal Protection Equipment will be required for certain tasks.

Travel may be required.

Language:
