145 AZ Mechanic III - (Structures)
Division:Unical Aviation
  
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Working with direct to moderate supervision, performing inspection, test, repair, overhaul, and/or alteration on aircraft components in accordance with Federal Regulations and Repair Station policies and procedures.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Perform maintenance on components received by the repair station including disassembly, cleaning, inspection, repair/overhaul, assembly, and testing with minimal supervision.
  • Document maintenance completed in accordance with federal regulations, repair station rules, and specifications.
  • Maintains a clean and organized work area
  • Must use, wear and enforce required PPE within assigned production work area.
  • Operate required machinery and equipment in a proper manner following established safety rules
  • Read, understand, and adhere to SDS guidelines.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 7+ years experience in aircraft component maintenance.
  • Subject matter expertise in the area of aircraft component technical data such as Structure Repair Manual (SRM), Component Maintenance Manual (CMM), engineering drawing, etc.
  • Subject matter expertise in the use of hand tools, as well as various inspection, measuring, and testing equipment
  • Ability to pass DOT drug and alcohol screening.
  • Must be a U.S. Person or Permanent Green Card holder due to ITAR regulations.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Attention to detail while working in a fast paced environment.
  • Ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to pass DOT Drug and Alcohol screening.
  • U.S. person or lawful permanent resident (green card holder) preferred due to ITAR regulations

 

Skills:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be able to prioritize tasks.
  • Basic Shop Math.
  • Knowledge of basic concepts such as theories and principles of aerodynamics, and hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
  • Basic computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to use inspection, measuring, and testing equipment.


Expected Salary: $34.00 - $38.00

 

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach, and move about the facility.

Ability to lift 50Ibs.

 

Working Conditions:

Ability to work in machine shop/component repair environment.

Momentary exposure to high noises.

Exposure to chemicals and cleaning agents.

Personal Protection Equipment will be required for certain tasks.

 

Travel:

Travel may be required.
