U145 AZ NPI Manager

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

The New Product Introduction Manager is the focal point for processing capability requests and efficiently adding new product capabilities to the Uncial Arizona 145 sites capabilities listing. The role will be the repository for analyzing and delivering upon external opportunities. Such as focusing on implementing internal/intercompany strategic demands from a technical, commercial, and training perspective.

 

Essential Functions:

 

  • Acting as the central repository to coordinate collaborative demand/opportunity from internal departments including sales, commercial, quality, and production. Ensure capabilities are added to the capability listing of Uncial Arizona 145 on time and within budget.
  • The role is responsible for the complete life cycle of new capabilities including the evaluation of commercial assumptions after they enter the MRO production environment.
  • The role is responsible for ensuring all capabilities are compliant with FAA, EASA, and other regulatory requirements. Including training of staff, tooling, and interpretation of tooling equivalencies
  • Manage the inputs and outputs of a central electronic repository for capability opportunities.
  • Working “hands-on”, as well as leading engineering expertise both internally and externally to ensure all technical and regulatory requirements are met.
  • Interpret all CMM, engineering drawings, and other technical specifications to produce tooling, test procedures, or other technical requirements, and working instructions for production.
  • Raising and seeking authorization from the relevant internal persons to ensure compliance with internal levels of relevant financial approval.
  • Ability to produce engineering drawings.
  • DER experience at a technical level
  • Use of PMA and other such problem-solving experience
  • Ability to produce accurate ROI and make Vrs buy recommendations.
  • Track and complete follow-up of business cases. Assumptions VRS. Actuals
  • Ability to manage by influence as well as an authority across engineering, commercial, and other internal departments/functions
  • Project manage all NPI-related functions
  • Working closely with the Engineering Manager to manage a team of engineers, designers, and machinists for on-time delivery and budget
  • Sourcing and Supplier negotiation in conjunction with the head of the supply chain for equipment and piece parts
  • Ensure all capabilities are added by RSQCM

Qualifications:

  • Aviation related Degree, Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent
  • 4 years experience in Engineering related supervisory or managerial role
  • Excellent communicator in both written and verbal
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to pass DOT drug and alcohol test
  • Basic knowledge of FAA regulations is preferred.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize projects for completion in a timely manner

Expected salary: $90,643 - $97,954

Physical Demands:

Ability to constantly stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and bend, for extended periods. Occasional lifting requirement up to 50 lbs. Able to operate machinery where needed.

Working Conditions
Ability to work in machine shop/component repair environment.

Momentary exposure to high noises.

Exposure to chemicals and cleaning agents.

Personal Protection Equipment will be required for certain tasks.

Some travel may be needed.
